Ultrasound and Eco-Detergents for Sustainable Cleaning

Green chemistry faces a major challenge imposed by the Sustainable Development Goals (6, 14 and 15) defined in 2030 Agenda. In case of cleaning products (detergents), challenges often become paradox: even if it is biodegradable, no surfactant harmless to aquatic life. Compared other studies field, this paper covers ultrasound–detergent interactions beyond cavitation removal process. It also considers synergistic effects with regard initial wetting phase final rinsing. concludes that best detergent–ultrasound combination which minimises receding critical sliding angles. At same time, detergent concentration should be reduced so as just capture grease micelles avoid reattachment during ultrasound, eco-detergents can thus up 10% their nominal value while attaining results.
